MEET KAREN
Karen Reeder grew up learning that leadership starts at home. Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, her life was shaped by faith, family, and community. Those lessons followed her everywhere: be honest, work hard, show compassion, and when something isn’t right, don’t stay quiet; stand up. She grew up learning the value of people: neighbors who look out for each other, families who lift one another up, and communities that stand together no matter what.
Today, Karen is proud to call Brazoria County home. She is a mother, a Mechanical Engineer, a community-builder, and a woman who believes leadership starts with listening and serving.

Why She’s Running?
Karen believes something precious is slipping away: fairness, common sense, and the voice of everyday Texans.
She sees a Texas where:
• families worry about rising costs
• Texans struggle to access affordable healthcare
• parents fight for properly funded public schools
• Storms leave communities struggling to recover
• homeowners are weighed down by rising property taxes
But she also sees a Texas worth fighting for: one where compassion leads, people matter, and every voice is heard. Karen is stepping forward because silence will not save our communities. Action will.
“I’m not here for politics; I’m here for people.”

WHAT BRAZORIA DESERVES
Brazoria County deserves leadership that delivers the basics right: safe streets, reliable roads, strong schools, and affordable healthcare. Seniors deserve dignity. Children deserve opportunity. Families deserve a government that listens, follows through, and works for them.
HER PROMISE TO BRAZORIA
Every family should feel the safety, fairness, and opportunity she fights for her own children — a path to a better future for all.

A Leader with Heart

Karen is not here to play politics. She is here to protect families, rebuild trust,
and bring common sense back to public service.
She is not asking for attention.
She is asking for a chance to serve.
She is not running for a title.
She is running for a better Brazoria.
She does not claim to have every answer.
She promises to listen.
Most importantly, she wants to leave a Texas her children,
and every child, can be proud of.
“We rise together, or not at all.”
